The Role

You will manage guest arrivals, reservations, and seating while working closely with the service team to ensure a smooth and professional service experience. As one of the first points of contact, your presence will play an important role in shaping each guest's visit.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally

• Escort guests to tables and introduce them to the experience

• Recognise returning guests and acknowledge special occasions

• Maintain a strong and attentive presence in reception and arrival areas

Reservations & Communication

• Manage reservations, confirmations, and seating plans

• Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person

• Manage waitlists and communicate waiting times clearly

• Liaise with the restaurant and operations teams to ensure smooth service flow

Standards & Organisation

• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented host station

• Assist with daily briefings and communicate important guest information

• Support the team during busy service periods where needed

Requirements

• Experience in an upmarket restaurant, luxury hospitality environment, hotel, or wine estate

• Strong communication skills and confidence with guests

• Professional presentation and strong attention to detail

• Organised with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
