Hospitality Hire is recruiting for a large hotel operation in Cape Town. We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Maintenance Manager – Preventative Hotel Maintenance to oversee and manage all hotel maintenance projects, renovations, and refurbishments. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, supporting the hotel’s operational excellence and guest experience.

Critical Criteria (Requirements) Trade qualification or degree in Engineering, Building, Project Management, or related field Proven experience in managing construction, renovation, or maintenance projects in hotels or large facilities Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance or project management, preferably in hotels, resorts, or large commercial environments Strong leadership, planning, and project management skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines High attention to detail and commitment to quality South African citizen with a valid ID Key Competencies 🔹 Project Leadership - Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance and project teams effectively 🔹 Operational Excellence - Plan, execute, and monitor projects to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards 🔹 Financial & Budget Management - Prepare and control project budgets; negotiate cost-effective solutions without compromising quality 🔹 Quality & Compliance Focus - Ensure all projects comply with hotel standards, local regulations, and safety requirements 🔹 Collaboration & Communication - Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution Duties & Responsibilities Develop, plan, and manage hotel maintenance and refurbishment projects from conception to completion Allocate resources, assign tasks, and supervise project teams for efficient project delivery Monitor timelines, budgets, and quality standards throughout project execution Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets operational and safety standards Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations and maintain safe working conditions Collaborate with hotel management, operations, and engineering teams to minimize disruption to services Report regularly on project progress, risks, and outcomes Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to enhance team competencies Live and promote the hotel's values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and Integrity Package on Offer Basic salary (TBA) 50\/50 contribution to Pension Company contribution to medical aid Important Application Notes Must hold a valid South African ID Only candidates with relevant maintenance and project management experience will be shortlisted Ensure your CV is 100% updated All applicants will attend a virtual introduction interview Recruitment aligns with the company's Employment Equity Plan
