SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and overall guest satisfaction. They will lead a team of housekeeping staff and uphold the hotel's standards of cleanliness and presentation. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervision and Training:
- Supervise housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners.
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of duties.
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards.
- Address any maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly and effectively.
- Implement corrective actions and follow-up procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities and submit orders as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Minimize waste and control costs related to housekeeping operations.
- Guest Satisfaction:
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness or room conditions.
- Implement improvements based on guest feedback to enhance the guest experience.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns.
- Provide training on safety protocols and procedures to housekeeping staff.
POSITION INFO:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
