SUMMARY:
Overview: As a Housekeeping Supervisor at our prestigious 5-star game lodge, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction within our accommodation facilities. Working in close coordination with the housekeeping team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the luxurious ambiance and pristine environment that our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervisory Duties:
- Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Schedule and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring adequate coverage and timely completion of all duties.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the lodge.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure consistent delivery of service excellence.
- Address any issues or complaints related to housekeeping promptly and effectively, striving to exceed guest expectations.
- Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of housekeeping supplies, including linens, toiletries, cleaning products, and equipment.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment of supplies and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, consumption, and expenditures, optimizing cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and standards, including those related to COVID-19 protocols.
- Implement and enforce proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, waste disposal, and infection control.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and address them proactively.
POSITION INFO:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury lodge or hotel environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management and budgeting.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays as required.
Education and Certification:- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license may be required, depending on the location and responsibilities of the position.
