SUMMARY:

Looking for a skilled Hub Accountant in the Midrand area.
Must have: Foreign exchange and have worked with multiple countries.

POSITION INFO:

Hub Accountant

Report to: Operations
Seniority Level: Mid-Career (3 - 5 yrs exp)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Fully qualified BCom Accountant with post grad qualifications
Stay aligned with IFRS updates and implement changes
Monitor financial impacts of operations and ensure compliance
Collaborate with stakeholders on accounting guidelines
Approve and release journals for allocated Ledger areas
Provide monthly accounting governance
Support timely reporting of regional company and Branch
Monitor ledger account reconciliations
Perform quarterly Balance Sheet reviews
Implement changes to IFRS and local guidelines
Complete projects on financial process improvements

External and Internal Contacts:

Internal: Accounting teams, Business unit Commercials, global Accounting Service Centres
External: Auditors, Banks, Service Providers

What You Bring:

SAICA - Chartered Accountant a must
3-5+ years relevant experience
BCom Accounting, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
Excellent working knowledge of SAP and IFRS
Ability to analyse processes and improve efficiency
Strong drive for self-development and challenging tasks
Ability to work in a team and meet reporting deadlines
