POSITION INFO:
Purpose:
Drive the business forward by developing and implementing effective people management practices. Maintain HR integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma: Human Resource Management / BA HR Management Degree or equivalent

Minimum Experience:
Human Resource Management: 6 years Operational; 2 years Managerial (recommended)

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:
People Management

Provide leadership and motivate HR & Training team members to meet the department’s objectives.
Strategy Implementation Support
Support HR Group Leader with the People Strategy implementation.
Talent Acquisition
Support the recruitment team with the implementation of the Talent Acquisition action plan.
Learning and Development
Responsible for skills development strategy and plan.
OD and talent development.
Facilitate delivery on L&D needs through companywide programmes.
Responsible for developing, managing and implementing learning framework, including e-learning.
Design and implement Leadership programmes with assistance from external providers.
Industrial Relations and Performance Management
Attend Incapacity/ Disciplinary and Grievance hearings.
Advise Supervision and management on disciplinary, incapacity and grievance standards.
Compile Hearing minutes.
Liaise with shop stewards.
Comprehensive Understanding of all legislation to advise line management on compliance.
Representation of the company for Conciliations and Arbitrations at the MEIBC or CCMA.
Manage the onboarding process and establish and drive a performance culture.
Coach managers and employees on performance management and appraisal processes and issues.
Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management including coaching, counselling, career development and discipline.
Initiate Performance Management for all under performers, in conjunction with HR Group Leader.
Employment Equity
Ensure and administer compliance to Employment Equity protocols.
Accurate record Keeping of EE minutes.
Compile Site EE records to be submitted.
Track progress to Employment Equity Targets (Actuals vs Targets).
Improve Employment Equity Profile in conjunction with HR Group Leader.
Policies and Procedures Compliance
Analyse and keep abreast of applicable legislation and update policies accordingly.
Provide guidance on and interpretation of HR policies.
Organisational Development
Work with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
HR Metrics
Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies
Project Management
Determine project scope and manage various projects.
Report on project progress to the HR Group Leader.
Reporting
Draft and submit HR and other ad hoc HR related reports when required.
Support with all legislative and group reporting.
