Our client is a fast-growing international travel company with offices in Cape Town, the UK, and Kenya, as well as remote staff across other regions
Their Cape Town office, located in vibrant Century City, is the heartbeat of their global operations
Unique opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
Alongside overseeing HR operations, the successful candidate will contribute to cross-functional projects and provide operational support to the leadership team
Human Resources Management
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, contracts, payroll coordination, performance reviews, and offboarding
- Lead the creation and implementation of HR policies aligned to South African legislation and ensure integration with UK and Kenya practices
- Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters with discretion and professionalism
- Maintain shift schedules, rotas, and time tracking to support operational needs
- Support leadership in developing and retaining high-performing teams through training, development, and career planning
- Drive key HR initiatives including diversity & inclusion, wellbeing, and employee engagement programmes
- Ensure accurate record keeping and data compliance (e.g. POPIA and GDPR where applicable)
Cross-Regional HR Coordination
- Act as the central HR liaison for our international offices in the UK and Kenya, as well as remote teams
- Standardise processes and support global consistency while adapting to regional employment law and cultural context
- Coordinate remote onboarding, engagement, and support for hybrid and distributed teams
Project Management & Strategic Support
- Support leadership by coordinating operational or people-related projects across departments
- Maintain project plans, track deliverables, and ensure accountability across teams
- Identify HR and operational efficiencies and lead initiatives to improve processes and systems
- Assist in strategic planning sessions, providing data insights and implementation support
Executive & Administrative Support
- Provide HR input into board reporting, staff updates, and workforce planning
- Occasionally support the leadership team with high-level scheduling, reporting, and meeting coordination for people-related matters
Minimum RequirementsMatric or equivalant
HR Diploma / Degree
2-3 years’ experience in HR management, ideally within a BPO, call centre or similar context
Strong knowledge of South African labour law; international HR experience (especially UK) is a plus
Proven experience with employee relations, reviews, and performance escalations
Experience in building or scaling HR operations in fast-growing businesses
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable juggling operational HR work with strategic initiatives and project-based responsibilities
