POSITION INFO:

Leading International Logistics/Freight Company seeking a Human Resources Director for South Africa.  

Position Accountabilities : The incumbent will be a member of the Leadership team and will participate in the formulation of the Business Strategy and the Human Resources Strategy.

Create, shape and drive organisational, functional and human capital readiness to provide a sustainable and long-term competitive advantage, maximizing organisational results and performance through the provision of leadership in respect of all people practices including organisational design, change and delivery capacity. Directly lead the building of the organisational brand and reputation, culture and values as a leader in the industry and an employer of choice with an Employer Value Proposition.


Key Outcomes:
• Lead the development, formulation and implementation of a HR strategy to appropriately position the organisation to deliver on the overall business strategy and results. HR strategy and business plan
• Participate as a member of the management team in the formulation of strategies and objectives on a short, medium, and long-term basis.
• Develop the organisation of the business and maintain an effective and innovative organisational structure based on achieving performance objectives, whilst taking cognisance of industry, market, commercial realities and operational requirements.
• Build organisational capacity in respect of maintaining a critical mass of competent people and drive the achievement of an employer of choice status within the industry and broader business environment through amongst others Learning and Development.
• Lead strategic organisational change processes and serve as a catalyst for culture change and alignment of organisational climate, behaviours and values.
• Provide leadership in respect of ensuring human capital and organisational capital readiness by addressing amongst others the critical elements of organisational effectiveness, HRIS, talent management and the people dimension of transformation.
• Lead, develop and oversee overall processes related to business performance improvement, organisational effectiveness and efficiency and all HR related matters, placing emphasis on relevance, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide and enhance business intelligence in relation to all people related current and future business risks and the appropriate positioning of the organisation‘s people and people related practices while advising leadership as relevant.

Corporate Office, Kempton Park
Report to CEO South Africa 
Lean up of team and individual performance against targets and objectives aligned with overall company strategy.
• Ensure the development of, and adherence to, organisational and operating policies, systems and practices that meet legislative and corporate-wide standards in order for the company to achieve its objectives while maintaining accountability, good governance and risk management.


Requirements:
To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should possess and be able to display the following key skills, experience, and attributes:

• Master’s degree.
• 20 years’ experience of which 10 years’ in a senior management capacity (Min 8-10 years).
• Knowledge of HR processes.
• Deep knowledge of Human Resources.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Strategic Human Resource management and practices.
