POSITION INFO:
Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Valid driver's licence held for a minimum of 3 years (non-negotiable). N6 Electrical or Mechanical Diploma will be advantageous. Proven experience within the coffee industry will be advantageous. Technical experience in refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or related technical fields. Customer service experience. Experience working with beverage equipment, including vending, traditional, and fully automatic coffee machines, is preferred. Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical fault finding. Understanding of SHEQ principles and safe working practices. Good administrative, organisational, and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure while meeting deadlines. Willingness to travel and work standby when required. Responsibilities Install, commission, calibrate, program, and test commercial coffee and beverage dispensing equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software faults on coffee machines and dispensing systems. Perform preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime. Conduct routine servicing and sanitation of draught dispensing equipment at customer sites. Attend to customer breakdowns and service call-outs within agreed SLA timeframes, including standby duties. Ensure all equipment operates to the highest quality and performance standards. Deliver glassware and other operational items to customer sites as required. Maintain accurate vehicle stock levels and request replacement stock and spare parts timeously. Complete daily job cards, service reports, stock records, tool inspections, and other operational documentation using company systems. Update outlet records and ensure all administrative documentation is completed accurately. Carry out weekly vehicle inspections and submit reports as required. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition. Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and management regarding repairs, installations, and technical findings. Escalate unresolved technical issues promptly and follow up until resolved. Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Deliver professional customer service while building strong client relationships. Demonstrate responsible management of company tools, stock, and spare parts. Ensure quality workmanship while maintaining cost awareness. Support branch operations by assisting with additional operational duties as required by management. Working Conditions Field-based role with frequent travel to customer sites. Standby and overtime may be required based on operational requirements. Physical lifting, installation, and movement of coffee and dispensing equipment. Combination of technical service, customer interaction, and administrative responsibilities.
