SUMMARY:

Reporting to the General Manager, the successfulincumbent will be responsible in providing the required Information & Communication Technology (ICT) capacity to meet both the short and long term demands  and in compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.

In addition, to manage the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality and business development.

 



POSITION INFO:

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and report accurately and timeously on the implementation of operational plans on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Review and Implement policies and procedures as approved by the Board.
  • Manage expenditure according to prescribed guidelines.
  • ICT Infrastructure Management & Service delivery support provided timeously and efficiently:
  • Conduct monthly audits and report thereof.
  • System downtime resolved within the specified timeframe.
  • Review and implement disaster management tools, procedures, and awareness on a monthly basis to respond in a pro-active and timely manner.
  • Review and implement annual Risk management plan and report quarterly.
  • Development of innovative applications and systems that will support maximising the use of technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of organisation as a whole:
  • Conduct relevant assessment and report to the Security Committee and GM.
  • Identify and report on suitable technology.
  • Effective and efficient project management through the development of project plans.
  • Short, medium, and long term identified projects completed within the specified timeframe and project budget.
  • Monitor project completion against the project plan milestones and ensure corrective action is taken timeously.
  • Submit project reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Service Level Agreement are in place and reviewed monthly to ensure remedial actions for poor service delivery
  • Facilitate monthly meetings with service providers.
  • Conduct monthly audits against service delivery requirements.
  • Accurate and timeous reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Timeously actioning all items as per stipulated timeframes.
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings and monthly committee meetings.
  • Determination of KPIs for all personnel on an annual basis.
  • Conduct Performance appraisals bi-annually.
  • Efficiently lead, guide, and support all subordinates within their roles on an ongoing basis.
  • Regular staff development in order to improve efficiency.
  • Regular one on one’s with staff including team meetings.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in information technology of which at least 3 years should have been at management level.
  • A degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
  • Master’s degree would be preferable.
  • Post graduate diploma in project management will be beneficial
  • Certification as an Enterprise Architect will be beneficial
