POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leading digital transformation solutions company is seeking to URGENTLY appoint dynamic and highly competent ICT Marketing Specialist to be based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg (R720K pa, CTC).
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- Drive Customer Experience Excellence
- improve an organization''s market position and achieve financial growth.
- Markets the organization''s propositions, brands and/or services.
- Primarily involved in the development, evolution, and approval of the long-term vision across a function
- Designs, develops, and implements communication programs externally to advertise the organization''s propositions, brands/services using media (e.g., print, broadcast, digital), events and sales promotions, as well as internally to drive ambassadorship.
- Develops and evaluates pricing strategies and structures.
- Designs and maintains websites to promote and sell the organization''s products through the Internet.
- Utilize a multitude of platforms to convert ads and promotions into increased revenue for our company.
- Increase brand awareness through both traditional and new media campaigns.
MINIMUM KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in sales, marketing, advertising, and brand management.
- Experience in website design and content development. have fully developed knowledge of the business, marketplace, and clients.
- Is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization
- Stellar written and oral communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of current and relevant markets
- Proficient in analytics and market testing
- Willingness to try innovative marketing strategies
- Excellent time management, able to balance many projects at once
- Apply data analytics, to better inform decision making, to inform sales strategies, market positioning
- Excellent understanding of the business model and ability to contribute to formulating and implementing the marketing strategy of the company
- Able to define strategy, put action plan in place and continuously follow-up and monitor level of accomplishment
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Senior level within a major function for a business unit
- Sets functional strategy and significantly influences business unit strategy
- Direct impact on business performance
- Provides technical guidance to colleagues
- Has the accountability of building brand awareness through various media outlets
- Plan sales and advertising campaigns
- Collect and analyses market research data
- Identify potential markets and test them extensively
- Work within various multimedia outlets to promote a product
- Design and oversee ad layouts
- Decides which media format (print, television, radio, web, billboard) best suits the assignment
- Present projects to clients and work with them to strategize and improve the material according to their needs
- Keeps track of and balance budgets
- Establish beneficial pricing strategies
- Negotiate advertising contracts
- Provide segment/partner/solution marketing value proposition
- Meets marketing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Accomplishes marketing objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs, developing field sales action plans.
- Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor''s share, and competitor''s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
- Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices.
- Responsible for the full cradle to grave marketing strategy, including analysis of the current marketing strategy
- Develop the brand on new products introduced to market
- Use an analytical based approach to the strategy and demonstrate ROI
- Create competitor and market analysis, staying ahead of trends and competitor positioning
- Review with a critical eye the strategic and creative content, communications for customers, digital marketing material and positioning for the website
