ICT Product & Policy Manager – ICT Strategy

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a South African expert with a strong background in ICT policy, mobile networks, and emerging technologies like AI, cloud, and 5G to join our team as an ICT Product & Policy Management expert.

POSITION INFO:

This is a strategic role focused on working across sectors and government to help shape national and industry-level ICT direction.

If you’ve led presentations to boards, worked on policy frameworks (e.g., AI policy, data center, cloud or mobile standards), and have strong government networks — this role is for you!

• Lead and contribute to the development of national and sector-specific ICT policies, such as AI, 5G, mobile, cloud, and core networks.

• Build partnerships with government departments, regulators, universities, and industry associations.

• Drive collaboration with key innovation Hubs (AI, Education, Agriculture, Finance, Health, etc.) and translate their outputs into actionable strategies.

• Represent the business in policy forums, stakeholder workshops, and high-level discussions.

• Prepare and deliver technical and strategic presentations to internal leadership, external boards, and key government departments.

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong ICT background – ideally in mobile networks, cloud, AI, or data centers.

• Direct experience formulating or influencing ICT policies in collaboration with government or public bodies.

• Confident presenter – you’ve led discussions or briefings at board level or national forums.

• A track record of engaging with policy hubs or innovation sectors (e.g., Education, AgriTech, FinTech, HealthTech, etc.).

• A well-established network in government and across ICT industry organisations in South Africa.

• Worked with computing or ICT alliances/associations

• Knowledge of national digital transformation initiatives

• Previous experience in a strategy, regulatory affairs, or technical product policy role
