JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a Top Employer in the Building services sector requires an IES Energy Modeller for their Sustainability team in Dublin, Ireland

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Do you want to be part of a highly motivated design team dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of buildings?

Overview of the Position:
  • Producing technically accurate work by taking lead of projects, communicating with clients, architects, and project managers
  • To demonstrate regulatory compliance, such as Building Regulations Part L, and BRE daylight compliance, we use IES VE and Revit Insight 360 to produce thermal / daylight models & simulations related to a range of building projects
  • Generate building thermal loads by Producing energy calculations and heating analysis
  • Support the production of Energy Strategies & statements for planning authorities
  • Assist in design studies to promote sustainable solutions, low energy services and low carbon technologies
  • Produce Daylight and Sunlight Studies as part of Planning applications

Role Requirements
  • 2-3 years’ experience in either a Mechanical or Sustainability background
  • Experience in Thermal Modelling using IES VE with a solid understanding of MEP services
  • A good understanding of current Building Regulations (incl. Part L and Part F)
  • Be capable of modelling buildings in Revit to run daylight analysis using Insight 360
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Masters in Sustainable Energy Engineering
  • IES Thermal Modeller / IES VE Heat Loads Energy Calculations / Natural Ventilation / TM59 Studies
  • Revit Insight 360 Daylight Modelling
  • Building regulations compliance – proficient in NEAP / DEAP methodologies
  • AutoCAD & Revit and reading building layouts, elevations, and sections
  • Interest and awareness of Life cycle assessment / embodied carbon analysis
