JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a Top Employer in the Building services sector requires an IES Energy Modeller for their Sustainability team in Dublin, Ireland

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Do you want to be part of a highly motivated design team dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of buildings?

Overview of the Position:

Producing technically accurate work by taking lead of projects, communicating with clients, architects, and project managers
To demonstrate regulatory compliance, such as Building Regulations Part L, and BRE daylight compliance, we use IES VE and Revit Insight 360 to produce thermal / daylight models & simulations related to a range of building projects
Generate building thermal loads by Producing energy calculations and heating analysis
Support the production of Energy Strategies & statements for planning authorities
Assist in design studies to promote sustainable solutions, low energy services and low carbon technologies
Produce Daylight and Sunlight Studies as part of Planning applications

Role Requirements

2-3 years’ experience in either a Mechanical or Sustainability background
Experience in Thermal Modelling using IES VE with a solid understanding of MEP services
A good understanding of current Building Regulations (incl. Part L and Part F)
Be capable of modelling buildings in Revit to run daylight analysis using Insight 360
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Masters in Sustainable Energy Engineering
IES Thermal Modeller / IES VE Heat Loads Energy Calculations / Natural Ventilation / TM59 Studies
Revit Insight 360 Daylight Modelling
Building regulations compliance – proficient in NEAP / DEAP methodologies
AutoCAD & Revit and reading building layouts, elevations, and sections
Interest and awareness of Life cycle assessment / embodied carbon analysis

Salary: € negotiable
