Duties:

Accounting lead responsible for the IFRS 17 project
Apply technical guidance on IFRS 17 to the team in line with the companies methodology and interpretation.
Finalise, implement, and test the IFRS 17 processes including the integration of IFRS 17 accounting and administration systems.
Provide training to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure the successful integration of IFRS 17 into the business processes.
Liaise with internal and external assurance providers.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom / CTA
CA (SA)

Experience:

Completed SAICA articles
3 years post minimum experience in an advisory role
Strong IFRS knowledge and implementation of complex accounting standards is a MUST!!
Experience in a JSE listed company
Insurance industry exposure is a MUST!!
Knowledge of IFRS 17 is a BIG WIN!!

Microsoft Excel would be highly favourable
