IFRS 17 Programme manager

POSITION INFO:

My client is looking for an energetic IFRS 17 Programme manager to join their team on a contract basis. They want someone with excellent communication skills and a hard-working individual.

Other details:

• Period: 12 months

Primary objective:

• Experience: Intermediate to senior Project manager role
• Start date: Immediate 
• Location: JHB based

Requirements:

• Proven working experience in project management
• Experience in the insurance industry (preferably general insurance) and with IFRS and/or compliance-related initiatives beneficial
• Actuarial and/or accounting background beneficial
• Exposure to the full project life cycle, from inception to user acceptance testing and go-live
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working with people at all levels within and external to the business
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification beneficial
• Team direction setting/leadership
• Stakeholder, conflict and influence management skills are required

Education:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification beneficial
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
