POSITION INFO:

Candidates who apply for this role must be available immediately to start with previous experience in the similar role.

My client is looking for an energetic IFRS 17 Programme manager to join their team on a contract basis. They want someone with excellent communication skills and a hard-working individual.

Other details:

Period: 12 months

Primary objective:

Experience: Intermediate to senior Project manager role
Start date: Immediate
Location: JHB based

Requirements:

Proven working experience in project management
Experience in the insurance industry (preferably general insurance) and with IFRS and/or compliance-related initiatives beneficial
Actuarial and/or accounting background beneficial
Exposure to the full project life cycle, from inception to user acceptance testing and go-live
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working with people at all levels within and external to the business
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification beneficial
Team direction setting/leadership
Stakeholder, conflict and influence management skills are required

Education:

Qualified Chartered Accountant
Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification beneficial
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
