Duties:

Investigation of trending accounting matters.
Applying IFRS technical guidance on projects.
Implementation of new IFRS standards and or amendments.
Provide training of relevant IFRS topics.
Ensuring financial statements are compliant with IFRS standards.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom / CTA
CA (SA)

Experience:

Completed SAICA articles
2 - 4 years post minimum experience within a group technical accountant role
Strong IFRS knowledge is a BIG WIN!!
Experience working with JSE listed companies
Exposure to multinational clients
Insurance and or financial services industry experience would be highly beneficial

Skills & Competencies:

Attention to detail
Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
Strong analytic skills
Able to be productive under pressure
Good communication skills
Microsoft Excel is essential
