POSITION INFO:

Brief Description:

One of the top telecommunications services providers in Africa is looking for a Consultant: Security Policy & Standards. The role will manage the Group Information Security governance, including (GIS) policies and standards, relating to risk assessment and acceptance across the Group.

The need for the role is to allow the organisation to keep up with rapidly changing ICT environment and to drive growth through business intelligence and standardization.

Job & Company Description:

The candidate will be responsible for continuously updating, measuring and reporting on compliance against the security standards and policies as well as act as a liaison for security auditing purposes. You will need to obtain independent assurance over the GIS governance status including target maturity levels and related benchmarks.

Among other duties, the incumbent will need to submit reports to management concerning residual risk, and other security exposures against the proposed security policies and standards including misuse of information assets and noncompliance.

Education:

A Degree in Information Science/IT/Engineering

A Masters will be beneficial

A combination of any of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC

Job Experience & Skills Required:

5 to 8 years’ experience in Information Security

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in management and telecom will be beneficial
