An exciting opportunity for an IS Governance Specialist

POSITION INFO:

Brief Description:

A leading telecoms service provider with operations throughout Africa is seeking an IS Governance Specialist. The role will assist in developing, implementing and managing GIS policies and standards relating to risk assessment and acceptance across the Group.

The role will operate within the Group’s CTIO function to ensure the successful delivery in context of the rapidly changing ICT environment and management of executive and local shareholder expectations.

Job Description:

KPAs include (and are not limited to) the following:

Continuously evaluate and improve the vulnerability management processes and technology
Engage the Business Risk and Audit teams to ensure alignment of security processes against business risk
Assess compliance to Security governance frameworks and policies
Facilitate internal audits and external assessments of processes and plan improvement activities accordingly

Education:

Degree in Information Science, IT or Engineering

CISSP

A combination of any of the following certifications: CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC

Job Experience & Skills Required:

5 to 8 years’ experience in Information Security

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in management and telecom will be beneficial
