Introduction Harmony Gold Mining Company is seeking an experienced, innovative, and results-driven IS Manager - Business Solutions to join our Corporate Information Services team. This critical role serves as a vital engagement link between our various IS support functions and the broader organisation, driving the delivery of tailored IT support and business solutions. The ideal candidate will be adept at leading teams, defining vendor engagement strategies, and building a cohesive technological ecosystem that synchronises organizational efficiency. If you excel at translating complex IT requirements into compelling business proposals to secure stakeholder buy-in, and you have deep expertise navigating the unique infrastructure and application needs of a modern mining operation, we want you on our team. Min Requirements Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology. Preferred: Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology. Certifications (Preferred): ITIL Certification and COBIT Certification. Experience & Knowledge: Required: At least 8-10 years of experience within a Mining and Engineering environment. Required: A strong background in IT specifically within a Mining environment. Preferred: 10 or more years of experience within the Mining and Engineering environment. Skills: Comprehensive SQL Skills. Strong Data Analysis and Reporting skills. Strong Communication skills (both Verbal and Written). Sound Organisational skills. Job Description Summary The IS Manager - Business Solutions is responsible for managing a team of Business Solutions and Support Specialists to organize, prioritize, and assess the delivery of comprehensive and efficient IT services. Key Responsibilities Include: Strategic Development: Developing comprehensive application and vendor management strategies across hardware, application, and enterprise architecture environments. Collaborating on the digital roadmap and creating long-term support team strategies. Application and Product Management: Taking responsibility for product life cycles, systems functionalities, and long-\/short-term developments. Planning and negotiating agile releases of business-critical updates while accommodating business timelines. Project Management: Managing the execution, delivery, and quality assurance of projects within the solutions environment, ensuring a smooth transition from the project phase to Business as Usual (BAU) in line with the Harmony IS Project Management framework. Risk & Compliance Management: Driving compliance across Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental management, overseeing risk analyses, developing disaster recovery plans, and mitigating active project risks. Stakeholder Engagement & Vendor Management: Defining the operational parameters for third-party vendors via robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing vendor performance, and building collaborative relationships with internal business heads. Financial & Budget Control: Providing input into the software licensing, operational support, and capital projects budgets while optimizing licenses across the organization to unlock cost benefits. Culture of Innovation: Staying abreast of market-leading technical advancements to introduce, implement, and imbed innovative technological systems into Harmony's ecosystem.
