SUMMARY:
Original Equipment Manufacturer of Heavy Mining equipment requires an IT Manager in Wadeville. Strong SQL Programming and Managerial skills a pre requisite.

POSITION INFO:

Position: IT Manager

Location: Wadeville

Salary Range: To Be Announced

Immediate vacancy for an IT Manager based at Wadeville reporting to the Financial Director. Position at Mining Equipment Manufacturer. IT Manager with Solid SQL skills, inclusive of SQL Programming required.

Minimum qualifications and skills needed:

• BSc / BComm. Computer Science degree or related / Equivalent
• 5-10 Years SQL Server
• 5-10 Years Programming (Visual Basic / C / Java)
• 5-10 Years Managerial position
• 5-10 Years Hardware experience (Computer Based)
• 5 Years Linux
• In-depth knowledge of Database design
• CP24 / S8M / F8M Class exchanges

Key Responsibilities:

• Read Backup logs and act on problem areas (User Backup’s and Archives)
• Check Server Status
• Update and Install Security Patches on Windows Servers
• Check SQL Backup’s and Procedures
• Rectify Back Office Update failures (CQS, Etc)
• Update Payroll (New Versions)
• Check Jarrison System to see if all the clock machines are working properly
• Security Management on SQL Database
• Check & Sign Supplier Documents
• Upkeep of Asset List

Other Key Responsibilities:

• Programming and Information Retrieval:
• Create SQL Procedures, Tables and Views to enable data retrieval from any SQL server for analysis
• Create triggers for Audit purposes (SQL Server) and data management
• Repair databases when failed with power outage
• Recover lost data on Databases (LOG Spools)

• Programming (Documentation Management Centre)

• Printers & Printer Repairs
• Investigation and Supplier Maintenance

• Asset Control of Desktops and Notebooks

• Manage Software Licenses

• Budgets
• Manage yearly expenditures
