SUMMARY:
A Freight Forwarding Company is seeking an IT Manager to join their team

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

Proficient on Microsoft Server infrastructure 2012 & 2016, Azure, O365, Lotus Domino, LANs, WANs, Virtualisation (VMWARE & Hyper-V), SANs, VOIP telephony systems, Information Security products such as firewalls, encryption technologies, system monitoring and management.

Proficient on Database technologies such as MySQL, SSRS, Microsoft SQL Server.

 Proven evidence of implementing IT security tools and techniques.

Advanced experience of managing delivery of IT projects through a combination of in-house and vendor based teams, ensuring technical alignment with the internal IT roadmap.

Strong experience in people management towards delivering IT projects and supporting said products in a Production environment.

Skilled in assessing technology products for functional and technical suitability. 

Talent and aptitude to continuously innovate, optimize and challenge the status quo.

Superior ability to motivate and inspire a team to constantly achieve more.

Attention to detail and a willingness to get involved in the detail when the situation requires it.

Experience managing complex IT projects, development of business cases, writing of project definition documents and identifying project risks

Good working knowledge of information governance and its application within IT

Implement IT security mechanisms in order to manage and monitor IT security.

Manage and mitigate IT related risks

Set clear annual KPIs and performance targets for the IT team.

Matric.

Minimum B-Com Information Technology or BSC Computer Science.

Min 10 years IT support & Development experience.

At least five years of management experience managing an entire IT function including.
