SUMMARY:
IT Manager Level 10: Fixed 3 Year Contract
Salary: R 39 170 per month

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in computer science OR equivalent (REQV 13) qualification in Information Technology, Information systems or related field
• 3 - 5 years of experience working in IT Operations
• Making and rolling out projects on IT infrastructure across various technologies
• Excellent knowledge of computer systems, business analytics, security network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems
• Superior skills in team leadership, employee development and interpersonal communication
• Strong leadership
• Excellent project management skills
• Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
• Work well under pressure

• Responsible for strategic IT planning and monitory resources
• Direct optional IT planning, including IT projects and allocation of manpower resources
• Oversee financial aspects of IT unit, purchasing, budgeting and review of budgets
• Coordinate IT staffing, scheduling professional development and discipline
• Collaborate and maintain communication with executives and HOD''s
• Research IT solutions and recommendations for improvement on IT systems and infrastructure
• Negotiate technology vendor and consultant contracts and service agreements 

• Train and supervise IT staff
• Ensure efficiency / effectiveness by developing IT strategies to meet college needs
• Ensure that adequate IT security measures are in place
• Develop and implement back-up procedures and disaster recovery systems
• Participate in IT audits and respond to IT audit findings
• Stay up to date with new developments in IT by conducting research and attending workshops
