Successful Retailer requires IT Manager to take ownership of the technology infrastructure of the business and lead the IT team

JOB DESCRIPTION:

IT MANAGER - KZN – RETAIL EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

Our client, a successful retail organisation based in KZN is looking to recruit an IT Manager. Due to the exponential growth of the business, this is a new position created to address the technology improvements, development and sustainability for the organisation. This is a leadership position with direct reporting to the Directors of the company. The following key skills are required in order for your application to be considered:

Strategy Development
Service Delivery and Project Management
Financial Management
Risk Management
Team leadership
Service Provider optimization
Management of Data Security

In addition, the successful candidate should be able to offer the following experience, qualification and expertise:

A completed degree or diploma in Computer Science or relevant technical field
Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT industry and 4 years in a management role
Experience working in a retail environment
Proven track record in delivering IT projects on time and within budget
Effective management and negotiation with Service Providers
Leadership skills
