IT Manager/Assistant Manager - Corporate and International Bank - Sandton.

Job Purpose:

To ensure all information technology service management (ITSM) related areas are fully functional and operational, and effectively managed and conducted within legal, statutory and budgetary constraints and requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Governance - To ensure the ITSM function has the required oversight and management of risk to ensure sound corporate governance; that the ITSM strategy is sound and supports the Bank''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Management and Administration - To ensure that the ITSM function is managed efficiently and effectively both internally and externally.
• Support and services - To ensure that the ITSM function provides sufficient levels of support to the Bank as well as training as required and to ensure compliance with local and head office requirements.
• Security - To ensure that the ITSM environment is secure, robust and resilient and is protected against any potential threats both internal and external.
• Infrastructure - To ensure that the ITSM infrastructure can provide sufficient infrastructure systems capacity and availability according to business requirements.
• Application development and management - To ensure that all systems changes in the ITSM environment are correctly documented, monitored and follow the ITSM project Life Cycle and comply with Head Office and local standards/guidelines
• Business Intelligence and Systems analytics - To ensure continual service improvement in the ITSM environment as well as providing business continuity planning and recovery as per required standards.

Education and qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in computer engineering, electronics, telecommunications engineering or relevant experience in networks and systems - Required
• CCIE/CCNA/HCNA qualifications are - strongly preferred.

Experience:

• More than three years similar experience - Required
• Experience working in IT in a Banking environment - Required
• Previous ISP working experience beneficial

Skills and Abilities:

• Network security configuration and administration
• Security governance and firewall administration
• Server maintenance and OS installations
• Management of networks (CISCO, Juniper switches, Routers and Firewalls)
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Up to date in the latest technologies in Banking and/or Telecommunications areas

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Banking IT Infrastructure
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TC/IP protocols and network technologies
• Experience in Windows server administration
• Knowledge of PBX Multi-Tenant manager and Sip Trunks will be a plus
