About the position:

We are looking for an energetic, assertive, and dynamic IT Operations Manager to join our incredible team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the FinTech space, specifically in supporting online payment systems within a PCI & PASA regulated environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess system performance and recommend improvements
• Internal and external telecommunication management
• Managing operational costs
• Implement and enforce standard policies and procedures within the operational sphere
• Ensure the enforcement of compliance policies and procedures (PASA) etc.
• Develop, maintain, and lead the operations team
• Management of vendors from sourcing, evaluations, and contracts
• Oversee the rollout of services rendered until completion
• Testing all system integrations across all product suites
• Monitor and manage the support functions and handle support escalations
• Prepare incident reports to all clients and third-party service providers after system failures
• Assist with business/IT risk assessments and internal audit planning strategies
• Develop and review internal audit programs and procedures
• Develop and maintain external and internal client relationships
• Proactively manage the business continuity
• Management of internal hardware and software and ensuring that backups of all devices are done on a regular basis

Minimum Requirements

• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related
• Prior experience in leading and building an operational team in the FinTech space
• Problem solving attitude, energetic, assertive, and proactive with the ability to manage and drive change within the workplace
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and negotiating skills
• Ability to recognise operational gaps and risks, and recommend and implement effective solutions
• A solid understanding of RE compliance and RE bodies such as PASA and NCR
• The ability to identify risks within the operational sphere and make recommendations to address them
