JOB SUMMARY:
Project management of software development for financial services industry

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Your relevant B degree plus extensive project management or business analysis experience in a software development environment in the financial services industry will assist you to gather feature requests, schedule releases, and coordinate sprints. You should be able to identify user needs, help a customer understand a business value and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.

Manage Group IT Projects
+ Designing, developing and managing activities from product definition & planning to production and release

o Develop/Compile detailed project plan with milestones (together with service provider resources)

o Liaise with and manage external service providers, project managers and resources

o Liaise with internal clients and other role players

o Ensure adherence to project timelines and on-time delivery o Developingtheproductstrategyandroadmap

+ Reporting in-line with project governance on the following:

o All technical aspects of projects

o Delivery, delays and issue resolution on project deliverables

o Formal reporting of all governance meetings

o Any other project reporting as identified

o Ensure gated reviews of project process is conducted as agreed

o Assist with drawing up project plan with internal and external role players

o Ensurecomplimentarycapabilitiesandintegrationwithexistingsolutions or ongoing projects Delivery of Information Systems

+ Ensure strict project governance according to agreed procedures and standards o Track and report on progress as per agreed project governance structure

o Identify delivery risks early and report to business owner

+ Ensure projects are kept within scope and advise GITO if scope adjustment is required

+ Establish, manage and co-ordinate project team as required from time to time

+ Manage delivery, launch of software together with all role players

+ Manage training and change management together with all role players

+ Managing prioritisation and trade-offs between customer experience, business impact, performance, and post-launch support Systems Development

+ Assist with business analysis to ensure development is in line with business requirements

+ Continuously assess all systems and development on a technical level

o Ensure best practice is followed in selecting appropriate programming environments

Maintenance of secure environment
+ Ensure development and production environment complies with Security Standards

+ Ensure compliance with POPIA and data protection rules and policies Infrastructure and support

+ Liaise with infrastructure and support lead to ensure stable environment for product

+ Ensure systems are properly administered according to agreed standards and procedures

+ Ensure turnaround times are within agreed SLA’s

+ Escalate and manage support issues to IT Team or external service providers

Service Providers

+ Manage SLA’s of service providers and ensure on-time delivery

+ Handle and resolve complaints

+ Travel to locations across SA as required to deliver the project + Conduct in person business requirements sessions as required

+ Attend and/or conduct delivery/launch sessions as required.

Documentation
+ Ensure proper records are kept of all development efforts
+ Ensure project documentation is completed and stored in the prescribed manner
