SUMMARY:
IT Product Tester

POSITION INFO:

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM POSITION BASED IN KEMPTON PARK

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of this position is to:

• Perform quality assurance testing on product releases and configuration moving to production against business requirements
• Document test results and evaluate to identify defects
• Follow and build on the defined test processes in the department
• Build a library of test cases and their application for the future support of the BPP system
• Generate test estimates
• The position will be preformed in the boundaries of the standard/ existing company testing service operatingmodel and must align regional IT efforts with the standards set 
• The position should understand the business requirement and transport process flow and align the BPP’s configuration to fulfil the need whilst ensuring standardization of processes, data and systems

The role will be responsible to ensure that every aspect of the BPP works in accordance with businessexpectation. The focus of the ownership will be on the product and integrations into/ out of the product but willexclude any functions performed in additional products existing in Global or Local architectures.

Tertiary Qualification(s) and Computer Skills needed

• Matric Essential
• Relevant degree or diploma in IT and / or Industrial Engineering
• ISTQB certification
• Microsoft Excel
• Any TMS product

Job-related Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in an intermediate/senior Test Analysis position.
• Experience with logistics related IT systems (BluJay or other Transport Management Systems)
• Solid experience in project delivery through a mix of internal and external resources.
• Fair understanding of IT implementation processes
• Experience with SCRUM and Agile.
• Experience with Jira Software and it’s use during testing
• Exposure to Testing Automation, it’s uses and complications

Other Minimum Requirements

• Own vehicle & drivers license
• Ability and willingness to work long hours.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Define a testing plan in accordance with company standards
• Identify and define test scenarios/cases in context of a catalogue that can be used in future efforts
• Capture and maintain testing with use of JIRA
• Execute test scenarios with full visibility of outcomes
• Log/ Manage/ Monitor defects discovered during testing until resolution
• Define, monitor and report on test metrics and progress
