IT Project Manager (7 months contract)

SUMMARY:
Urgently recruiting for an IT Project Manager for a 7 months contract role based in Durban.

POSITION INFO:

The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered:
Degree / Diploma in Information Technology.
Project management certification (PMP or prince2) or relevant accredited course in Project Management
Detailed understanding of current Project Methodologies
3 – 5 years job related experience in formal project management.
5 + years in IT
Mixture of application and infrastructure experience
Hands on technical expertise, not just a task coordinator
IT background with good understanding of IT Infrastructure and system development (SDLC).
Experience in working independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment is essential.
Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies and diverse group of people.
Proven project and people management skills.
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Must be proactive and able to take initiative.
Strong finance and administration skills.
Ability to read communication styles of team members.
Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
