SUMMARY:
IT Security Specialist: Data Protection

POSITION INFO:

This role is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining data protection capability across the organisations infrastructure, applications, mobile devices and network. The role will anticipate data security requirements and identify sound security controls for applications, systems and processes. The incumbent will be required to research and keep abreast of data breach attacks and threats in order to continuously protect against new types of attacks. The Senior Specialist will take the lead during incident investigation to drive speedy resolution to minimise potential data leakage and financial loss. The role engages with key privacy, business and operational partners in managing the security of data and remediation of data breaches on networks and systems. You will need a CISSP, along with a degree and several years of experience. You should also has a solid understanding of Regulatory controls in terms of Data Protection. This role is based in Joburg north.
