Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: IT Service Desk Agent

Stipend: R 6 400.00

POSITION INFO:
About the role

The overview of the job main purpose is to enthuse customers and provide best experience through excellent remote support and communication.
Reporting structure will be the Team Lead.

Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve IT -related issues via phone, email, ticketing system, or walk -in support
Accurately log and categorize all issues and request in the ITSM/ ticketing system.
Generate Regular reports on the ticket’s trends, performance, and common user issues.
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when assisting users.
Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Tier 2/3 support teams as necessary.
Contribute to and update user guides, FAQs and knowledge base article.

Requirements

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the programme before.
Matric
Diploma in IT, A+ / N+, or related certifications (preferred)
0-1 years’ experience in a similar helpdesk/service desk role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Familiarity with Windows, Office 365, and common enterprise tools.
Knowledge of ITIL or service management principles is advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
