IT Support Engineer

SUMMARY:
If you are passionate about technology, specifically end user and client computing, then this position is for you. The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification and certifications as well as at least 2 years experience working for a large organisation. Fluency in English, spoken and written is a must.

• A higher education or equivalent experience is essential. 
• ITIL Certification is required
• Technology certifications are a plus

• Report to the IT Manager for Middle East & Africa
• This is a key role in supporting a high-quality IT infrastructure to the EMEA region
• Ensure a high-quality IT infrastructure to stay competitive in an increasingly interconnected world.
• Ensure that the business can consistently run at full capacity
• As part of the Infra & Ops EMEA support team, together with colleagues, this position provides 2nd & 3rd level support on the End User Computing service.
• Together with colleagues in the support team ensure the stability & compliance of the infrastructure and services related to the end user & client computing solution.
• Pro-actively improve and check the environment, the team and prevent outages and as such impact on the users.
• Incidents and standard requests will be handled according to the agreed SLA and with the necessary attention to quality and communication.
• Apply the rules around change management to ensure changes are documented, communicated and performed in a controlled way.
• Through the configuration management process, ensure a full inventory of the assets and components involved in the services.
• Secure the compliance of clients & software by following up on the agreed patching process and OS & application lifecycle process.
