SUMMARY:
This position requires an IT Support Engineer with at least 5 years' experience at all levels.  A Grade 12 with either an IT Diploma or Degree is essential.  Candidates must be innovative, enthusiastic and willing to explore new IT systems that could benefits the company.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 plus any Diploma or Degree in Information Technology
  • At least 5 years'' experience  
  • Delve into new platforms throughout the company Globally -  digital platforms / Software / Hardware every day
  • Always check for innovative ways and ideas to improve IT systems that would benefit the business.
  • Must be enthusiastic, curious, collaborative and eager to teach what they already know
  • Willing to explore new opportunities
  • Providing Technical Support across the Company (in person or telephonically)
  • Active Directory - Maintaining Active Directory / Creating Users Accounts
  • AWS - EC2 / S3 / Storage Gateway / Glacier etc.... 
  • Google Suite
  • Google App Script
  • Setting up Google Mailboxes
  • Servers (Windows Svr 2012 / 2016)
  • Network Managed PoE Switches - HP / Cisco / Aruba
  • VLANS
  • Telephony (VoiP) 
  • Installing and Configuring computer hardware / software / systems / networks / data backups / copiers.
  • Monitoring and Maintaining computer systems and networks 
  • Unified WiFi
  • Firewalls
  • Kaspersky Antivirus (on Enterprise Scale) 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • As technical support, respond to calls from end users of computers and software applications.
  • Take ownership of customer issues reported and resolving to resolution
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues
  • Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
  • Raise Tickets for issues that need to be escalated to the Corp IT Support Team on the Company In-House System (Ticketing Platform)
  • Identify all Information Technology needs within the company and to ensure that these are met.
  • Upgrade and Repair all Company computers as well as the LAN/WAN as and when necessary.
  • Every reasonable effort must be made to eliminate unnecessary downtime.
  • Perform all the necessary computer data backups and Google Accounts of Ex-Employees.
  • Ensure that all requirements and instructions of IT Headquarters are carried out and implemented within the necessary time frames to ensure compliance with the Company Group Policies, Procedures and Standards.
  • Perform all necessary IT Support functions.
  • Perform any other duties required by the designated Manager.
  • Dealing with Suppliers to provide the necessary support function to your daily duties.
  • Supporting employees with any IT challenges that may arise.
  • Maintaining all systems security level to be compliant to the Company Groups'' standards to combat any security threats.
  • Update all the necessary IT Inventory lists at all times when changes are made to all and any IT related matters.
  • Communicate with users on IT related requests.
  • Other Duties to follow - Obtaining quotes and placing orders with the Procurement Department and Admin work.
  • All duties performed to ISO 9001 Quality Standard requirements.
  • Work as Team Player of the Team.
  • Ensure total confidentiality of all information, Internal & external, pertaining to the business nationally as well as all its Employees and Management.

  • Must respond in a timely manner to service related issues and requests
  • Must always be prompt and on time for work.
  • Willing to travel to Company offices - Locally and Africa 
  • Must be able to take instructions and follow 
  • Own reliable transport to move between the Company Business Units is essential.
