IT / TECHNICAL PRODUCTION MANAGER - AGRICULTURE

SUMMARY:
Citrusdal Area – WC: Our agricultural client is looking for a competent and experienced person to manage their company’s IT from a system management and development perspective.

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Relevant diploma/degree

Min of 3-5 years previous experience in similar role

Experience in soil sample analysis advantageous

Highly computer literate

Previous working experience with drones advantageous

Duties include but not limited to:

Managing the current IT systems.

Adapting and developing the current systems based on new trends or upgraded/advanced technology.

Innovation in design and decision making on what systems or upgrades best suit the company.

Capturing and representing various forms of information and data in a format that best suit the position or management level of colleagues.

Good people skills are important (must be able to work with strong individuals like Production/Farm managers and HR managers).

Position will also entail working outdoors – understanding the systems in the field and assisting those running the data capturing, trials, samples, etc.   

Open to learning more about the technical side of agriculture (sample results, production and data trends) and how this information can be captured and presented.
