POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a motivated and service-oriented First Line IT Technician to join their team in Gauteng. This role involves providing first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent customer experience across the organisation.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- A relevant IT qualification or Diploma (CompTIA A+/N+, or similar)
- 1–2 years of experience in a First Line Support or IT Technician role
- Experience with Windows operating systems, Office 365, and basic network troubleshooting
- Understanding of Active Directory and user account management
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and IT service desk processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A customer-centric attitude and strong troubleshooting skills
Key Responsibilities:- Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Log and track support requests through the ticketing system
- Escalate complex issues to second line support when necessary
- Assist with user onboarding and account setup
- Maintain accurate documentation and technical records
