sub ledger - IRFS 17 technical accountant chartered accountant CA SA implementations

POSITION INFO:

6 months Contract with Possibilty of Extention

Our client in the Financial / Insurance industry urgently seeks a CA (SA) with your immediate expertise /solid experience as a sub- ledger implementaion accountant with at least 5 years experience in a reporting environment -(Not Negotiable ) to join their Finance Reporting Team on a 6 Months contract basis - with possible extention

Main reason is to Assist the IFRS 17 Sub-Ledger implementation team to ensure the readiness of the Africa entities to comply with IFRS 17 requirements. This is a contractor role for the duration of the project

Minimum Experience

CA(SA) or similar Qualifcation

Experience in Ledger/Sub-Ledger implementations
Knowledge of SAP systems advantageous
Insurance industry experience advantageous
Strong Excel skills

Attributes

Strong communication skill (written and oral);
Adaptability and ability to work within a complex and changing environment;
Experience with complex analysis of business outlines and requirements;
Deadline-oriented and an ability to stick to time constraints, and
Strong attention to detail.

Responsible / Tasks :

Assist with documenting the as-is account mappings of various systems within the company;
Assist in the to-be account mappings of the SAP sub-ledger to comply with IFRS 17 standards;
Assist with business transformation and SAP Sub-ledger implementation;
Focus on improvements and automation with robust controls to minimise risks;
Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with company implementation partner, product owners, functional and technical team members, and users; and
Perform other related tasks as may be identified
