SUMMARY:
An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking the above to process sales orders, attend to customer enquiries on delivery schedules and to coordinate logistics activities, ensuring maximum transport loads and accurate inventory processing in the warehouse according to local and export country regulations.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a Degree in Logistics or an Administration related qualification
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in road, sea and air export or import operations will be required
  • European and African geographical knowledge is essential
  • Must have good knowledge of transport legislations, dangerous goods handling, and import/export and customs clearance
  • SAP experience will be an added advantage
  • Understanding of warehouse principles and stock principles will be required
  • Forklift experience is beneficial

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Processing sales orders with right pricing and discount structure as well as effective transport arrangements to customers.
  • Arranging domestics and international shipments for customers.
  • Monitoring and aligning outstanding orders, and developing SAP reports required by the Supply and Commercial department.
  • Producing required reports related to the Customer Service function to support business decision-making.
  • Liaising with export and shipping companies to arrange collection of goods and working closely with the despatch team to ensure smooth despatch of goods.
  • Supporting the Purchasing, Production and Logistic Leaders and teams with administration duties.
  • Communicating risks and concerns to allow for recovery planning.
  • Managing stock, including finished goods age analysis and stock count activities.
  • Providing support with GRN’s for the warehouse.
  • Reconciling stock despatched.
  • Supporting related warehousing activities, such as inventory, stock count process, loading, etc.
  • Ensuring all exported items are correctly classified and transport documents are processed.
  • Creating shippers and export documentation for each shipment leaving the site.
  • Preparing and despatching truck vehicles.
  • Creating appropriate labels using inline shipping tools.
  • Identifying shipping risks and monitoring recovery where required.
  • Logging all actions taken in relation to shipping and export documentation on the company’s ERP system.
  • Collating and processing deliveries for local imports and exports.
  • Producing the department KPI''s.
  • Preparing consignment route planning and ensuring trailer yield maximisation.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
