In-House Technician -Branch in JHB
We must stress if the applicant does not have fire industry experience is it not imperative, but the suitable candidate would be someone with and understanding of understands valves, pumps and gauges. They must possess a willing to be trained as well.
Position: In House Technician
Function: The purpose of this role is conduct system testing and verification and implement technical repairs on systems.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications

• NQF 4 qualification in the built environment
• SAQCC certification preferred

Experience

• 2 – 4 years’ experience in field experience in fire protection is prefered

Key Performance Areas:
System Verification, Technical Repairs Implementation, Administration and Reporting Patterson
System Verification
Test systems by implementing test protocols, analysing results, identifying areas of risk and implementing corrective action weekly and as required
Verify systems by reviewing systems against verification criteria, identifying areas of non-compliance, identifying and developing recommendations on corrective action and implementing approved corrective action as required
Analysing testing results by accessing data, interpreting information in line with defined parameters, identifying trends and patterns, assessing corrective action necessary and presenting recommendations for approval as required
Technical Repairs Implementation
Undertake technical repairs by analysing problems, problem solving faults, sourcing correct materials, and implementing corrective action daily and as required
Administration and Reporting
Draft test reports by collecting information and drafting reports in defined formats as required
Draft inspection reports by conducting inspections, collecting information, and drafting reports in defined formats as required
Undertake testing administration by completing test and verification documentation and submitting for approval as required
