POSITION INFO:

A well-established medical practice in Kempton Park is seeking an Independent Registered Medical Practitioner for a long-term locum position. The role is suited to a clinically confident doctor who values continuity of care and a structured weekday schedule. Experience or interest in Sports Medicine will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans

• Manage acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice

• Perform minor procedures where competent and authorised

• Provide preventative care and health education to patients

• Refer patients appropriately to specialists or allied healthcare professionals

Patient Engagement & Records

• Deliver patient-centred care with excellent bedside manner

• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records

• Ensure informed consent and ethical decision-making

Compliance & Professional Standards

• Adhere to HPCSA ethical guidelines and scope of practice

• Maintain valid medical indemnity cover and CPD compliance

• Comply with POPIA and practice policies

Team & Operations

• Work collaboratively with nursing, reception, and practice management

• Support efficient patient flow and quality service delivery

Minimum Requirements

• MBChB or equivalent qualification

• Registered with HPCSA as an Independent Medical Practitioner

• Valid medical indemnity insurance

• CPD compliant

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Advantageous

• Sports Medicine experience or qualification

• Private practice or primary healthcare experience

• Experience with electronic medical record systems

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 07h30 – 16h30

• One Saturday per month

Remuneration
