POSITION INFO:
Industrial Sewing Machine Technician - Johannesburg Talent Connected Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established industrial supplier for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Technician based in Johannesburg . This is a hands-on, field-based technical role suited to a skilled technician with proven experience installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial sewing machinery across manufacturing client sites. The successful candidate will support factories, workshops and production facilities by ensuring machinery operates efficiently, downtime is minimised, and clients receive reliable technical support. Key Responsibilities: Install, service and repair industrial sewing machines Perform preventative maintenance at client sites Diagnose and resolve mechanical and operational faults Configure machines according to production requirements Ensure correct stitch quality, timing and machine performance Provide on-site technical support and operator guidance Assist with spare parts identification and service reporting Minimum Requirements: Proven experience as an Industrial Sewing Machine Technician Hands-on experience with lockstitch and overlock \/ serger machines Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair ability Experience with machine setup, calibration, timing and thread tension Valid driver's licence Ability to work independently in a field-based role Willingness to travel to client sites within the assigned region Advantageous Experience: Experience within clothing manufacturing, footwear manufacturing, upholstery, automotive trimming or textile production environments Experience with industrial sewing brands such as Juki, Brother, Pegasus, Siruba or Dürkopp Adler Technical qualification in mechanical engineering, textile technology or industrial maintenance What's on Offer: Market-related salary based on experience Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Tools and equipment provided Travel-related benefits Opportunity to work with a well-established industrial supplier and advanced industrial sewing systems To apply, please send your CV to: Subject line: Industrial Sewing Machine Technician - Johannesburg
