Infrastructure Engineer

SUMMARY:

Main purpose of job: Strategic technical infrastructure support in support of internal and external stakeholders.

POSITION INFO:

Primary responsibilities:

IT Support

·        Manage, design, plan and support physical and virtual environments including Azure tenants for best performance and security

·        IT infrastructure maintenance, sizing, support, billing and reporting

·        IT support, hardware and software and other approved IT information systems

·        Implement, maintain, and monitor IT security standards and best practices

·        IT procurement and asset management

·        Customer engagements and RFP document population

·        Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the company

IT Strategy

·        Brainstorm new ideas and ways to improve Azure and infrastructure implementations

·        Adequate disaster recovery strategy, high availability, backup and recovery and successful execution

·        Stay current with Microsoft Partner requirements and liaise with Microsoft Account Manager maintaining sustainable relationships

·        Partner certification requirements are achieved and communicated to management

·        Information Systems adoption strategy

·        ISO 27 001 support and ongoing compliance

·        Supporting DevOps strategy adoption

Minimum qualification and experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field

·        Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator

·        Five years previous experience in IT operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field

·        Three years previous experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure, Monitoring, Application Insights and reporting, Azure PowerShell

·        Five years previous experience with Windows Server Infrastructures, IIS, Azure Web Apps, scripting such as PowerShell

·        Five years previous experience with Microsoft Active Directory

·        Three years previous experience with O365 and SharePoint

·        Previous exposure and understanding of working with Firewalls

·        Identity and Authentication, SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD

·        Remain up to date on latest industry trends; ability to articulate trends and potential clearly and

·        confidently

·        Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

·        Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

·        Ability to comfortably work under pressure
