POSITION INFO:
The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist for our client based in Sandton.

We require your expertise from the medical insurance, medial aid and insurance Industry.

 

Will be required to work between both the Sandton and the Centurion offices.

 

Responsible for looking after the users, all functions of desktop support, and remote support.

The incumbent must have basic networking knowledge and be able to do troubleshooting.

 

The Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for everything between the wall jack and the handoff to the internet service provider.

To plan, direct and design their companyâ??s IT infrastructure while simultaneously managing the IT team responsible for maintaining that infrastructure.

 

Minimum educational level:    

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Bachelorâ??s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
• A+, N+ and MCSE certification

 

We require at least 5 Yearsâ?? Infrastruture and support experience and knowledge in the following:

• Asterix FreePBX, VOIP, Yealink IP phones, FOP2 (Call Center queueing tool), and Asternic Call Center Stats portal
• Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPOâ??s, Share and storage management, reset passwords when required
• UniFi wireless network
• MobiSys SMS Gateway for bulk sms
• Kaspersky Security Center 12
• CompleteFTP Manager (SFTP)
• BrightSparks Syncback Pro
• Exchange Server 2013 and Office365, Mail relays â?? Mdaemon
• Basic knowledge of MAC, iOS and Android
• Must be familiar with Nutanix and Amazon-LightSail
• Basic knowledge of Yealink VCâ??s, Zoom, MS Teams
• Forticlient VPN
• Must be familiar with Zneelo domains
• EXSI VMWare, Windows Server 2003 and up to Server 2012
• Linux: CentOS, Redhat, Oracle (Installations and basic setup), must know the basics around linux
• Linux docker containers

 

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Manage Redmine Call tracking ticket system
• Ensure accurate management of company owned equipment and the issue thereof
• Ensure Laptops and/or PCâ??s for new employees are set-up and installed according to management requirements
• Record data so as to ensure accurate reporting, as and when needed
• Manage relationship between the IT Department and any Vendors used, regarding access agreements, SLA agreements, policies for support services provided by the infrastructure team
• Ensure adherence to all standard processes and procedures put in place
• Ensure implementation of the Business Strategy by remaining abreast of new technologies and selecting the correct technology to assist in ensuring the Business Strategy is adhered to
• Monitor and report on items such as projects, usage, errors etc. on a monthly basis
• Manage of Infrastructure Software according to business requirements
• Manage Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPOâ??s, Share and storage management, reset passwords when required
• Managing Exchange Server
