Innovation Solution Architect

POSITION INFO:

Overall Purpose of the Role:

The Solution architect will be responsible for the design or modification of systems architecture to meet certain business needs. They will test, integrate, and program software systems to ensure that specific business issues are solved.

We are looking for an innovative solution architect to develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs. The solution architect’s responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams. You should also be able to regularly update the company on any developments in systems architecture projects.

To be successful as a solution architect, you should be able to integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture. An outstanding solution architect should be able to explain complex problems to management in layman’s terms.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within IT projects, in which at least two years must have been within a Business/System Analyst role

• Managerial experience is advantageous but not mandatory

• A strong Self starter

• Requires little to no oversight

• Curious and passionate about using technology to solve business problems

• Must be able to apply new technologies to design solutions for business opportunities

• Must be both highly analytical and practical

• Must be courageous and not afraid to think outside of the box

Qualification/s Required:

• Bachelor degree in a technical discipline or 10 years in a senior IT project related role
