POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an innovative solution architect to develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs.

The solution architect’s responsibilities include

• Gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams
• You should also be able to regularly update the company on any developments in systems architecture projects.
• To be successful as a solution architect, you should be able to integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture.
• An outstanding solution architect should be able to explain complex problems to management in layman’s terms.
• Manage requirements solicitation sessions
• Documentation of requirements
• Data modelling
• UML modelling
• AWS best practices
• Network Security
• Data persistence – Both SQL and No-SQL
• API gateways
• Storage best practices
• Design API structures using the RESTful framework
• Technical specification authoring using AWS topography tools
• Creation of testing strategy
• Performing test cases
• Facilitate defect rectifications with developers
• Present solutions to appropriate governance bodies for approval
• Understanding of build pipelines and code commits
• Understanding of devops and design and implement processes to support devops
• Document processes in BPMN 2.0
• Understand the oWASP initiative and reference it where necessary
• Understanding of encryption technologies and principles
• Understand security standards and authentication schemes such at oAuth 2

What you will need:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within IT projects, in which at least two years must have been within a Business/System Analyst role
• Managerial experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• A strong Self starter
• Requires little to no oversight
• Curious and passionate about using technology to solve business problems
• Must be able to apply new technologies to design solutions for business opportunities
• Must be both highly analytical and practical
• Must be courageous and not afraid to think outside of the box
