Instrument Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry, has an opportunity available for an Instrument Technician, to be based in the Brits area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• NQF4 (Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate) with English literacy or N3 in Engineering Studies
• Instrument Trade Certificate (Sec 13/26D)
• National Diploma in Process Instrumentation
• At least 3 years experience as an Instrument Mechanician in the mining industry
• Sound knowledge of AS-1 bus network, optic fibre network, profibus network, ethernet network
• Knowledge and principle operation of PLC and SCADA
• Sound knowledge of instruments used to control and measure variables such as pressure flow, temperature, force etc. 

KPAs:

• Assist the Snr Instrument Technician with the development of planned maintenance schedules to ensure maximum efficiency of control system
• Adherence to safe work procedures
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, inspection, monitoring and maintenance of all networks, field instruments, PLC & SCADA
