SUMMARY:
3 - 5 yearsâ€™ experience; preferably in a chemical or food plant.

POSITION INFO:

Our client currently has an opportunity for an Instrument Technician who holds an Instrumentation Trade Test / S4 Instrument Technician or equivalent and has 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in a chemical or food plant.

Position details:

Type: Permanent
Reports to: Instrument Superintendent
Main responsibilities:

To maintain all instrumentation on site to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
To pro-actively maintain DCS and Scada systems on site.
Timeously calibrate instruments as per ISO schedule and update records.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Minimum qualifications
N6 with Instrumentation trade test / S4 Instrument Technician or equivalent.

Minimum experience
3 - 5 years’ experience; preferably in a chemical or food plant.

Minimum critical requirements
Computer literacy
Good communication skills
2-3 years DCS, PLC and Scada systems experience
Ability to work standby and overtime
Ability to work in hot environment
Ability to work at heights
