Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Min N6/S3)
Trade Test Diploma

Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years working experience in the following:

Design, develop and install small automation systems
SCADA systems â?? Application, Setup and Programming preferably using ADROIT
Experience in Siemens PLC Setup and programming preferably using Siemens Simatic SW
Experience in Allen Bradley PLC Setup and programming preferably using RS Logix 5000/500
Working with EPLAN or similar software for documenting wiring diagrams
PLC programming using RS Logixs or RS Logixs 5000
Working with industrial communication networks (Ethernet , RS232 , Profibus , AK)
Calibration of sensitive measurement equipment like load cells , temperature controller , data loggers
Some exposure to robotics
Able to do panel building
Electronic Fault Finding and repairs (PC boards , rebuilds , construction of boards)
PC setup with windows Automation SW including Virtual Machines
Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills
Good knowledge of measuring principles, PCâ??s and PLCâ??s
Basic knowledge of Quality Management systems
Computer Literate in MS Office
Hands-on approach to the workday

Key Accountabilities:

Willing to work standby, overtime and/or weekends as required
Willing to travel overseas for periods up to 3 months
German Speaking/Reading ability would be advantageous

Personality and Attributes:

Must be energetic, self-motivated; engaged and a hard worker
Must be responsible, trustworthy and able to work without constant supervision
Must be punctual and reliable
Communicate well on all levels
Team Player
