Key Responsibilities:

New business to be activated on system, within 1 day, following approval from the Insurer/Binder Manager.
Ensure all Compliance Documents are on file, if not, query must be created in Diary and referred to Line Manager.
New Business sent to insured within 31 days of inception. New Business must include policy schedule, disclosure notice, policy wording and compliance documents signed by policyholder.
Send out renewal listing to broker/s 3 months in advance.
Prepare/Request Terms from Insurers 60 days prior to renewal date.
Renewal schedules are to be sent to policy holder 31 days prior to renewal date. Inclusive of disclosure notice, policy wording and adjustments made to the policy.
Phone the insured prior to the forthcoming renewal's debit order collection cut off. Broker Renewals: ensure renewal meeting diary entry in broker's Flexi diary 60 days in advance.
Ensure current Letter of Appointment and Debit Order Authority on file.
Amendments completed within 3 days or before close-off, whichever is the lesser.
Acknowledge receipt of instruction to amend from policyholder on the same day the request is received.
All Cancellations related requests sent to broker, branch manager and emailed within 1 hour of
receipt from policyholder/ alternative broker. Cancellation procedure to be adhered to.

Minimum Requirements:

RE5
NQF4 in short-term insurance qualification
Minimum 3 years' experience in domestic underwriting
Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Insurance regulatory knowledge.
Computer Skills
