Job Description:
The company is an intellectual property consultancy looking for an IP Lawyer / Country Manager for his office in Mauritius
Minimum requirements:
- 5-10 Years IP Law experience
- Graduate of higher education specialized in intellectual property (Master’s Degree / equivalent) or CIPL
Responsibilities:
· Supervise 3 IP Lawyers & 2 Paralegals
· Good English, French advantageous – liaise with clients in Africa & Europe
· Must be able to travel when necessary
· Oversee a customer portfolio, mostly international, and will have the following missions:
· Prior art searches and availability studies in Africa and abroad
· Follow-up of filing and registration procedures in Africa and abroad (responses to provisional refusals)
· Pre-litigation management and administrative litigation (formal notices, oppositions, action for annulment, actions for revocation, coexistence agreements)
· Consultations and legal studies in trademark law, copyright
· Drafting of contracts (assignments, licenses)
· Writing articles
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including leadership and people-management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
