  POSITION INFO:
  The Role:

  We are looking for an Intermediate Front-end Developer with strong Angular experience for a contract position based in Midrand/Rosslyn.

  This is a new feature team that will be setup consisting of developers with Angular, Java, Springboot and Documentum and Openshift, Azure, Kubernetes experience.

   

  • IT / Engineering Degree/relevant experience
  • Willing and able to travel extensively, for up to 3 times a year for 2 weeks at a time (international)

   

   

  Skills and Experience:
  • 5 years + experience in software development of angular applications
  • Experience in designing front end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and Angular
  • An understanding of architecture and architecture patterns
  • Good knowledge of continuous integration and tools of the CI/CD environment of BMW (e.g. git, Jenkins)
  • Experience in writing high quality code backed by automated tests
  • Good knowledge in agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, github)
  • An understanding of scalable solutions and performance of code
  • Extensive experience to steer overarching topics
  • Broad knowledge in application operations, most ideally in an agile DevOps model
  • Knowledge of Java, web-technologies, and internet security
  • Knowledge of agile development methods (e.g. SCRUM, Less, DevOps, extreme programming, agile requirements management)
  • Familiarity with Microservices Architectures, Cloud Architectures or Container Architectures e.g.
  • Kubernetes
  • Experience with Container Orchestration Platforms Preferably Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented work behaviour in a distributed team
  • Experience of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
  • Fit for business purpose mind-set, i.e. the solutions provided must meet the business goals
  • Jira and Confluence experience
  • Backend frameworks like Spring, Java EE
