Position: Intermediate Java Developer (with Linux)
Work type: Contract Position
Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Salary: Rate per hour negotiable (depending on experience)

Introduction:
Our client is looking an Intermediate Java Developer to join their development team.
 
Desired Experience & Qualification:

• Candidates are required to have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Java Programming
• Degree/Diploma
• Relevant certifications
• Telecoms or Financial Services environment experience

• Linux system administration (RedHat/Centos, Apache/NGINX, MySQL/MariaDB, Bash, Python) (nice to have)
• Telecommunications technologies (SS7, SIGTRAN, MTP, SCCP, TCAP, MAP, CAP, etc) (nice to have)
• Docker and Docker swarm experience (nice to Have)
• Solid experience working in Linux
• Back-end, Middleware, front-end and/or Mobile Application Development experience
• Shell scripting ability for system administration
• Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, SOAP, HTTP, XML, RADIUS, Diameter, SCTP)
• Golang, C/C++, Angular/React, and/or Native Script/Ionic development experience.

• Ongoing Development of software solutions
• Work with BA and a Technical Lead
• Provide 3rd Level Product Support
• Maintaining and contributing to system standards
• Improve the automation of tasks where possible
• Managing System Security
• Capacity and Performance Management
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Ability to work under pressure.
